Hear The Children Cry
In their own voices, neither coached nor made to feel threatened; they were simply telling the Editor of their horrifying experiences in orphanage foster care and psychiatric hospitals. Other than one child, not of these children had ever been inside a psychiatric hospital before being removed from their home. They were removed from their home and all six children were immediately placed in Laurel Ridge Psychiatric Hospital in San Antonio, Texas and instantly put on numerous psychotropic medications.
With over 19,000 children in Texas State Foster Care, we have to care enough to listen to the children..
This is not intended to be balanced reporting, only the true reality facing many children in orphan state foster care. Our children are being abused by the very system designed to protect them and we must stop this abuse.

This is not easy to hear or read, but these are OUR Children and our tax dollars pay for this torture to be inflicted on them. Some survive and others do not and this is their experiences in state orphanage care.

These children are not living in "model" facilities. As Richard Wexler said, they are called "models" because they are not the "average."
