Concerns are being raised in regards to 911 calls made the day an Austin boy was kidnapped.

Five-year-old Adrian Jaimes was taken from his family's truck Thursday morning and safely returned that night.

When Adrian's 10-year-old sister, Zuleima, witnessed the kidnapping, she called 911.

She was asked to repeat herself several times, and the call was riddled with long pauses.

The dispatcher told her to quit crying.

Hearing the 911 call left many concerned with the operator's way of handling the situation, including Police Chief Art Acevedo.

"When you're dealing with a traumatized, emotional person, your job is to get that information as quickly and accurately as possible," Acevedo said. We're looking at if we could have done anything better, if there are any issues we need to address."

Acevedo said in the end, the system did work because the boy was returned home safely.
