FORT WORTH, TX -- Balch Springs police are investigating serious allegations of a cover-up in the death of a 4-year-old boy.
Jacob Fox died last week while in the care of the Dreamhouse day-care center.
The owner said the boy died in a park while she ran errands, but Fox's family said it has received anonymous calls with a different story.
"The outing that these children participated in was not a scheduled outing; it was an outing that was prefabricated based upon finding Jacob dead in a van," attorney Greg Shamoun said.
Police have received some of the same calls, stating that Jacob's body was moved to the park.
And NBC 5 has learned the day-care owner charged, Blynithia Washington, has a lengthy criminal history.
The Dallas County Sheriff's Office said Washington has had several arrests, at least seven known aliases and convictions for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and theft.
