ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Some Arlington officials want police to explain how a triple murder suspect, whose car was surrounded -- sped off and killed himself.
Arlington City Councilman Robert Rivera has asked for a report on Friday's incident.
The information is expected in about two weeks.
Authorities say Arthur Jackson fatally shot his estranged wife and her two children in their Fort Worth home.
He then drove to an Arlington church and left the couple's 3-year-old daughter. She's now in foster care.
Jackson ended a seven-hour standoff by driving around police cars and eventually into Lake Arlington -- shooting himself in the head.
Meanwhile, Jackson's sister -- Lucille Nelson -- told WFAA television that her brother had called her, in tears after the shooting deaths of his wife and two stepchildren.
Nelson says her brother said he'd "messed up" and couldn't fix it.
Nelson also says Jackson told her he was angry, but he didn't mean to kill the children.
