HOUSTON -- A mother has been accused of killing her 3-month-old daughter, KPRC Local 2 reported Monday.

Houston police said Jessica Roshea Van Wright, 19, has been charged with injury to a child.

Investigators said 3-month-old Asia Richardson died at Texas Children's Hospital on May 14.

Van Wright told detectives that she found Asia in her crib and she was having problems breathing. Van Wright called 911 and paramedics gave Asia CPR and took her to the hospital. Asia died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Asia did not have any visible injuries when she died, but an autopsy revealed a history of abuse, police said.
